Subh-e-Nau:
An Environment and Public Health Concern
Subh-e-Nau
(“a new dawn”) is a registered charity engaged in conserving
nature, promoting sports, working for improving public health and targeting
disability for more than two decades.
Our
main areas of work include advocacy and raising awareness for environmental,
health, disability and rehabilitation initiatives, including on-ground
environmental projects such as plantation, organic food promotion and
relief and rehabilitation projects.
SN
represents the selfless dedication of socially aware individuals wanting
to bring about a meaningful change by cultivating an environment promoting
health and economic development.
We
are a non-profit, non-partisan, apolitical organization working for, and
with people from diverse backgrounds. SN has launched public awareness
programs, lobbied for environment friendly Government projects, and used
media tools to motivate opinion leaders and the general public alike to
work for a greener, healthier natural environment. We strongly believe
in working with the corporate, non-profit, public and private sectors,
as our cause is universal.
Some
pioneering projects and campaigns include plantation of more than 80,000
indigenous trees, water and energy conservation campaigns, lobbying for
environmental, health and consumer interest related legislation, sports
promotion for children, and a disability reduction and rehabilitation
program. A strong team of dedicated national and international experts
voluntarily support SN.
Vision
To foster healthier and higher standards of living, based on the ideals
of sustainable development, while targeting poverty and health considerations
to provide a sound socio-economic basis for meaningful change.
Mission
Statement
Our mission is to research, implement and advocate sustainable solutions
to outstanding global environmental and public health issues. We firmly
believe that any meaningful development must be done in accordance with
careful understanding of its impact on the environment and health of all
living beings, as we are all connected. Informed by state-of-the-art research,
we approach problems by locally implementable, cost-effective, and practically
viable solutions.
For
health, relief and rehabilitation work, whether involving disability related
issues or in the aftermath of calamities, we again formulate need-based,
locally adaptable solutions.
