Aids The Domino Effect

AIDS has serious fallout effects, from burning holes through the country's economy to threatening national security. With Pakistan's rapidly growing HIV infected population, the country is far from being prepared to tackle the dangerous domino effect of an incurable, harrowing epidemic.

What is HIV?

HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus. It is the virus that causes AIDS. A member of a group of viruses called retroviruses, HIV infects human cells and uses the energy and nutrients provided by those cells to grow and reproduce.

Dead Leaves and their Proper Disposal

Each fall and winter, as Nature intends, trees and plants shed their leaves to prepare for this change of season. However, this means that our gardens, as well as our roads are literally littered with them. The rather reckless method taken by people is to burn them. This is a rather dangerous way to deal with this situation, as it results in spread of harmful air pollution which affects entire neighborhoods. Children, as well as elders are the unintended victims of such mindless means to get rid of the leaves.
