Shahida announces increased dailies for outstation players

Islamabad-April 30, 2008:- All is set for the 3rd PTCL SN Ladies Tennis Tournament starting from Thursday at the Islamabad Club. More than thirty players have confirmed their participation in the event. According to organizers, event will feature four categories which would be Ladies Singles, Ladies doubles, Girls Juniors U-17 and the Seniors Double.

The opening ceremony is going to held on Thursday at 3:00 pm. Mrs. Shahida Kauser Farooq, Chairperson Subh-e-Nau and Tournament Organizing Committee announced increase in dailies for the outstation players. Talking to a group of journalists here Wednesday, she said that organizers of the tournament has observed that dailies given to the players was not up to the mark in the changing scenario. She said that Subh-e-Nau will pay 1000 rupees per day to every outstation player except belonging to Karachi, while Karachiitis will be paid rupees 1500 hundred each for the day instead of 400.

She hoped that tournament would attract the most number of players owing to highest ever prize money and other facilities by her organization. The tournament will continue till Sunday. The Ladies singles final will be played on Sunday at 5:30 pm and prize distribution ceremony would hold at 6:30 pm. ENDS
