Subh-e-Nau hosts National Hard Court Tennis

Karachi, June 28, 2008: A six day tennis gala is set to start here from next month at City District Government Karachi (CDGK) Sports Complex. The event would be organized by the Subh-e-Nau, an affiliated member of Pakistan Tennis Federation and a renowned tennis promoting body.

4th Subh-e-Nau National Hard Court Tennis Championship, which is going to start from 5th of July, would feature six categories i.e. Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies Sings, Girls’ U-17, Boys U-17 and Boys’ juniors U-13.

Mrs. Shahida Kauser Farooq, Chairperson Subh-e-Nau said Saturday that tournament would continuo till 10th of next month. Carrying handsome prize money, tournament is expected to be featured with top seed players of the country.

It is to be mentioned here that this will be the first major activity here at CDGK sports complex after a long time. Subh-e-Nau initiated a campaign for the repair and maintenance of the complex, which was successful. Subh-e-Nau and CDGK jointly constructed new toilets and changing rooms for players to facilitate them properly. Subh-e-Nau aims to held sports activity here on regular basis.
